Do you want a website?

The main reason to create a website is to present your business activities and get in touch with potential customers or partners.
Whether is your business i can help to develop the most effective solution fitting your needs and budget to create an e-commerce site, a showcase site, a landing page or a revamp of an obsolete web presence.

Why WordPress ?

There are many CMS available today among the most known Drupal, Joomla, DotNetNuke and many other, so why to choose WordPress?

WordPress is the most used  content management system on the internet. A content management system (CMS) is software that allows non specialized users to create, manage, and modify content on a website.
Nevertheless WordPress is the preferred choice of many developers (as me) because it can evolve into just about any type of website, from a basic blog to a fully functional e-commerce store, a SEO driven content site, or a membership website for paid access.

Finally the WordPress community offers a huge choice of developers; if your site has been or will be developed in WordPressit will be very easy to find a developer with experience to program something very specific to your business.

Here some of many good reasons to use WordPress:

  1. It is very easy to use and yet is very versatile and powerful.
  2. It can be extended in so many ways. Almost 60,000 free plugins are available in the official WordPress plugin directory. (2022)
  3. It is a safe platform. The security level can be increased installing plugins as WordFence, WPScan or iThemes Security just to mention few.
  4. It has a huge community willing to sharing knowledge.
  5. It is multilingual
  6. It is SEO-friendly. A number of plugins will help to improve the visibility of wordpress pages on Google searches.
  7. It has thousand of  free & paid themes easy to customize
  8. … and last but not least is free!

Must have plugins

No matter what kind of site is,  a new website needs solid foundation, a steady ground to start build on; for this reason my first activity for each new web development is to install the following plugins and i will explain why.

WordFence

Wordfence is a fantastic plugin that protects websites from attacks and malware. The free version provides a Web Application Firewall, a malware scan and It includes also an enforced login security with a built-in two-factor authentication (2FA). WordFence premium is recommended to those who needs extended firewall functionalities, real-time updated and priority support, but for standard websites the free version does an outstanding job.

Duplicator

Duplicator works like a charm to migrate, copy, clone, backup or move and transfer an entire site from one location to another a site in a snap.
Love it. Period.

Yoast SEO

Yoast SEO is a WordPress plugin that helps to optimize your site’s content and keywords and consequently improve the website’s rankings on search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo! and others. It is available in free and premium versions, but, even if reduced, the free version is still essential.
